Update on Baseball Tailgates
When the Nationals announced they were no longer offered the Nats Express from the RFK lots, thus eliminating the tailgating option, I figured that would be the end of going to Nats games for me (I would rather drive the extra 10 minutes and watch the Orioles). After speaking with a Nationals representative on the phone, they will allow tailgating in Lot W this year, which is only 3 blocks further away from where the buses dropped us off in years past. While not free ($10 per car), we can avoid the long lines for the shuttle and still experience summer tailgates and concerts in DC.

Caps Clinch Eastern Conference Regular Season
With the New Jersey Devils loss this evening, the Capitals clinched the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference for the first time in the franchise's 35-year history, ensuring home ice for the first three rounds of the playoffs. This is the first time a DC team from the 4 main sports leagues has won a regular season conference title since the 1991 Redskins, and we all know how that turned out. LETS GO CAPS!

Nats Express Eliminated
Since Nationals Park opening in the spring of 2008, fans have been able to park for free at RFK stadium, and take the free Nats Express Shuttle to Nationals Park for the game. While many fans are excited about the prospect of parking and walking to the stadium, none of the lots allow for tailgating. It has been a summer tradition for us to tailgate for Nationals games, but this seems to be up in the air now. We will let everyone know of upcoming plans for Nats games, at this point our group will not be able to set up for games this summer. DC United will still be playing at RFK, and our group looks forward to our first DC United Tailgate.
